Bill Pamela returned to school at a local Community College in Fayetteville, North Carolina. After a year in school she was hired by the FAA to work at the Fayetteville Airport as a controller.
Life took a turn when she met a Canadian from Hamilton Ontario who was on a golf trip and one year later, the two were married and moved to Canada. Settling in Hamilton Pam and her husband attended church at St. Paul’s in Glanford, which was her husbands home parish and soon became hers.
In the late 1990’s Pam was feeling a nudge or pull towards ordination and returned to school at McMaster for two and half years to work on her undergraduate degree. Accepted as a mature student at Trinity College in Toronto, Pam graduated with her MDiv in May of 2003. Ordained to the Transitional Deaconate of Christ Church Cathedral on Pentecost in June of 2003, Pam was also the Assistant Curate at St. John’s Anglican Church in Ancaster for 4 years. It was in January of 2004, she was ordained a Priest in the Diocese of Niagara, by Bishop Ralph Spence.
Pam became the Rector of St. James in St. Catharines in September 2007 until it closed in January of 2017, moving to The Church of the Transfiguration in St. Catharines for the next 10 months.

Ian Chadwick is the honorary Assistant to the Rector at St. John’s Anglican Church in Jordan. Ian was ordained in 1998, and made curate at St. Christopher’s Church in Burlington Ontario. He later became the Rector of St. Alban’s in Beamsville, Ontario in 2000 where he remained until his retirement in 2012. Since that time St. John’s Anglican Church has had the pleasure of having Ian as the Honorary Assistant.
Once a civil Engineer, he is still an active member of the BACCB (Bishop’s Advisory Committee on Church Buildings). Routinely Reverend Chadwick provides Sunday coverage for vacationing clergy in other parishes. So it appears he really didn’t retire at all.
When he has spare time, Ian likes to sail, attempt to repair decrepit vehicles, enjoy his season tickets to the TiCats and try his best to keep up with his younger wife Trish. They both sing in the St. John’s choir and between them have two daughters and a son.

Director of Music

Keith Whittingham began his musical studies at Trinity Memorial Church in
Montreal, where there was a great Casavant organ and choral tradition. When his family moved to St. Catharines, he studied piano and organ with Eric Dowling. While at Brock University, he took harpsichord lessons with Michael Purves-Smith. (During this time, he also played the infamous Hammond organ at St. John’s as our organist!.) He then went to the Music Faculty in Toronto where he studied piano with Carol Burtch, a noted accompanist. During this
time he felt a deeper calling to the priesthood and applied to Trinity College.
After serving several years in St. Mary’s, Hamilton and St. Christopher’s
Burlington, he became our eighteenth rector in 1980. He is now retired and
has been happy to return to the organ bench.
